Still looking for a series-sweep, the Twins won their first weekend series at Target Field. Minnesota won 10-3 on Friday night, with Scott Baker recording the win. 5 different Twins had 2 hits, with one having 1. Saturday was a lot closer, with the Twins winning 6-5. Brian Duensing got the win and Jon Rauch got the save. Jim Thome and Orlando Hudson both homered for Minnesota. On Sunday, the Twins were on the losing end of a 10-5 game. Carl Pavano was the losing pitcher. The Twins take on the Indians this week before heading to Kansas City for a Royal rematch.
Stats:
Joe Mauer: 5 hits, 3 RBIs
Orlando Hudson: 4 hits, 3 RBIs, HR
Denard Span: 5 hits, 1 RBI
Jon Rauch: 1 save
My series MVP goes to Orlando Hudson. O-dawg had 4 hits and 3 RBIs, inlcuding a homerun.
