Twins Take 3 of 4 From Angels in Opening Series

The Minnesota Twins are 3-1 to start the 2010 MLB season, after winning three games out of the four game series in Anahiem against the Angels. The opening series began on Monday, with the Angels winning 6-3. Scott Baker started for the Twins on Opening Day, getting the loss in 4.2 innings of work. On Tuesday the Twins bounced back, getting their first win of the season by a score of 5-3. Nick Blackburn was Minnesota's winning pitcher. Wednesday brought another two-run win, 4-2, with Carl Pavano getting the win. Last night, it was Kevin Slowey with the win, after the Twins put together a great offensive game, winning 10-1.

Here are some stats for you:

Delmon Young: 4 hits, 2 homeruns, 6 RBIs
JJ Hardy: 5 hits, 2 homeruns, 2 RBIs
Justin Morneau: 4 hits, 2 homeruns, 3 RBIs
Jon Rauch: 2 saves
Carl Pavano: 6 strikeouts

My series MVP goes to left fielder Delmon Young. Young came into camo 30 pounds lighter, and hit a homerun in his first at bat of the season. He has 2 homers so far, and 6 RBIs. Nice job Delmon!
